Dott breaks arm

Graeme Dott has been forced to pull out of the Shanghai Masters after breaking his arm.

The former world champion was due to play Jamie Cope in the last 32 but instead he is on a plane home after the accident, whilst playing football, left him unable to compete.

Dott will have an operation and still hopes to be able to compete at the Grand Prix, but with that event beginning in less than two weeks that seems like an unrealistic aim.

Cope meanwhile, receives a bye into the last 16 where he will meet two-time world champion Mark Williams.
