Bingham defeats Maguire to reach English Open final

Stuart Bingham defeated Stephen Maguire 6-3 in the English Open to reach Sunday's final.

Bingham took the first frame in the match 81-9 but Stephen Maguire hit back immediately 34-99 to level.

The game was poised at 2-2 with the mid-session interval as the two fought to reach the final of the English Open, with Bingham’s break of 76 in the fourth frame the highest so far levelling.

After the restart Maguire nudged ahead before 15th-ranked Bingham reeled him back in to 3-3. Bingham then strolled to three consecutive frame wins to end victorious on 6-3.

Ronnie O'Sullivan and Mark Davis will play in the other semi-final to determine who will take on Bingham.
