After the stars of the game made their return to the UK for the British Open, the focus now moves onto the English Open.
Mark Selby is the defending champion after beating Luca Brecel in last year's final, and he is in impressive form after finishing runner-up at the British Open.
Ronnie O'Sullivan returns to the field after having treatment for tennis elbow, while British Open champion Mark Williams and John Higgins are also among those hoping to lift the trophy in Brentwood.
The fans will be in for a treat when the ranking event - worth £80,000 to the winner - gets underway on October 2.
