Women's world number one Reanne Evans is one round away from the first round proper of PTC 3 after a comfortable 4-0 victory over Danny Brindle at the qualifiers in Sheffield.

Evans is hoping to qualify for her second consecutive main draw in the PTC.
Former world number David Gray is also competing in the amateur stage and he opened up with a 4-2 win over Sean O'Sullivan.
