‘I have got something in my eye!’ – White has to leave arena during Lisowski clash

Jimmy White’s German Masters last-16 clash with Jack Lisowski involved a strange moment in which the Whirlwind was disturbed mid-frame by something in his eye.
White got off to a flying start at the Tempodrom in Berlin, racing into a 2-0 lead.
However, Lisowski who recently reached the semi-final of the Masters, fought back to take the third frame and as the two tussled in the fourth, White appeared to be suffering some discomfort.
“Jimmy’s saying he’s got something in his eye” said David Hendon on commentary.
“So he’s asking for a moment to splash some water in it or something.
“There’s going to be a slight delay as he goes to sort that out.”
Thankfully, it didn’t appear to be too serious and after a short delay, White was back out and ready for action.
However, the rest of the frame didn’t go his way as he allowed Lisowski to level at 2-2.
The 60-year-old has already delighted the snooker world with his performance at Berlin so far following his stunning 5-1 round-of-32 win over Peng Yisong.
In reaching this stage of the tournament, White became the first player in their 60s to reach this stage of a ranking tournament since Eddie Charlton at the British Open in 1992, aged 62.
