Higgins-Trump in Shoot-Out

Last season's World Championship finalists John Higgins and Judd Trump will face one another in the first round of the Snooker Shoot-Out in Blackpool in January.

'Wizard of Wishaw' Higgins beat young star Trump, now 22, 18-15 at Sheffield's Crucible in May.

The 64-man draw, which is not seeded, pitched together defending champion Nigel Bond with the man he defeated in last season's inaugural final, Robert Milkins.

Former world champions Mark Williams and Steve Davis will face off while Stephen Hendry will take on up-and-coming potter Jack Lisowski.

Neil Robertson will play Jamie Cope in a repeat of the 2006 Grand Prix final and Ali Carter goes up against Matthew Stevens.

The one-frame knockout tournament runs from January 27-29 at the Blackpool Tower Circus.

Frames last a maximum of 10 minutes, with a 20-second shot clock for the first five minutes, dropping to 15 seconds for the last five minutes. If the frame is not decided after 10 minutes, whoever leads at that point is declared the victor.
