World snooker champion Graeme Dott has revealed he may leave the sport for a while due to concerns over his wife's health.
"I'll need to wait and see, but there's a chance that I'll have to take a break from the game," he said.
"If this latest problem doesn't clear up, I don't know what I'll be doing in the future."
Dott, who is still grieving for long-time manager and father-in-law Alex Lambie, recently found out that his wife is suffering from a potentially cancerous cyst as she underwent a scan during the early stages of pregnancy.
Dott lost 6-2 to Stephen Lee in the Masters on Tuesday.
"I had to make a decision [over whether to play]," he admitted. "If I hadn't been world champion, I wouldn't have turned up. People had paid good money to see me and I thought if I played it might feel okay.
"It didn't. It was horrible. Concentrating was impossible."
