Ronnie O'Sullivan made light work of Ben Woolaston with a 6-2 win that sealed his progress to the last 16 of the UK Championship in York.
The four-times winner was matched early on as Woolaston enjoyed a break of 87 to stay in touch at 2-2.
But from that point on it was all O'Sullivan, who claimed the next four frames, including a century break of 104 to book his place in the next round.
O'Sullivan, who has been playing at the Barbican Centre with a broken ankle, is next in action on Thursday, when he meets Matthew Selt.
"The first two matches I was struggling but my ankle feels fine now," O'Sullivan told the BBC.
"I played well in the end but it was tough. Ben is one of those players that plays well against me, he scores so quickly.
"I felt like second best out there but I settled in the end. I just had to relax because I was getting frustrated."
Meanwhile, defending champion Neil Robertson ensured his progress with an equally comfortable 6-2 win over Peter Ebdon.
The Australian hit breaks of 108, 84, 74 and 78 on his way through to a meeting with Graeme Dott, who trounced Robert Milkins 6-0.
