The snooker world will soon turn its attentions to the start of the 2023 Players Championship in February as the world’s top 16 players battle for supremacy.
The Players Championship is the 12th ranking event of the 2022-23 season and is sandwiched between the World Grand Prix and the Tour Championship as the second event of the Players Series.
The Players Championship field is made up of the top 16 players on the one-year money list.
Neil Robertson will not be able to defend his 2022 title after sitting outside of the top 16 rankings following this year’s Welsh Open. He beat Barry Hawkins 10-5 in last year’s final.
