English Open runner-up Ronnie O'Sullivan defeated Matthew Selt 4-2 to progress in the first round of the Scottish Open.

O'Sullivan took a two-frame lead with a strong start that included a break of 131.

However Selt hit back and made it 2-2 to give himself a chance of causing an upset.

Neil Robertson was in imperious form as he dispatched Thor Chuan Leong 4-1. The 2010 world champion compiled breaks of 104, 135 and 75 to ensure comfortable passage into round three.
