Ronnie O'Sullivan banged the table with his cue after an uncharacteristic miss during his World Snooker Championship clash with Stuart Bingham on Tuesday. 'A little bit angry' - White on O'Sullivan whacking table with cue

Jimmy White suggested Ronnie O'Sullivan was "getting a little bit angry" during the first session of his World Championship quarter-final with Stuart Bingham - the main flashpoint coming when The Rocket whacked his cue after missing a routine pot.
O'Sullivan and Bingham are locked at 4-4 after Tuesday afternoon's appetiser in Sheffield, with the seven-time world champion battling back from 2-0 and 3-1 behind.
The main talking point came in the seventh frame, when O'Sullivan banged his cue on the table after sending an easy red into the jaws of the pocket.
"You don't often see him miss a red like this. You can't believe it," said six-time world finalist White.
"That was the first opportunity, the seventh frame, where he had a chance to get in front. It was a chance for him to get going. He did go 4-3 up [by winning this frame], but Ronnie has struggled in this match. He's had a few easy misses, he won't keep doing it, he will catch."
O'Sullivan will move clear of Stephen Hendry with an eighth Crucible crown.

'COULD have been 3-0' - Bingham left to rue 147 attempt

'Really?!' – O'Sullivan left baffled after white ball goes in

It could have been so different for Bingham.
Leading 2-0 and sitting pretty in the third frame, the 2015 champion decided to pursue a 147 maximum break rather than play more conservatively.
It backfired when, with six reds and six blacks already holed, Bingham misjudged the cue ball off his next red. Although he potted his next shot, the yellow in a hasty salvage mission, he was soon in trouble and the break ended.
"He could have quite easily played to pot that red, make sure he got good on the yellow or the green," said White.
"But he decided to go for the black, caught the jaw and [although] he potted the yellow, he missed the next red with a rest.
"He could have been 3-0 in front and really in control of the game. Because at that stage, Ronnie was really struggling and he was getting a little bit angry."
The winner will face either Judd Trump or Jak Jones in the semi-finals in Sheffield.
