Bingham makes first century of semi-final against Jones

World Championship semi-finals bring huge amounts of pressure, but Stuart Bingham broke the tension when sharing a joke with the crowd while making the first century of his match with Jak Jones.
As was the case the previous day, Jones looked shaky early on and he coughed up a chance when missing a plant to the bottom left.
It did not look an easy table for Bingham, but on the back of a run of 79 in the previous frame he set about his task with relish.
The 2015 world champion swiftly wrapped up the frame, before turning his attention to a century.
The reds were picked off with ease, leaving him needing yellow, green and brown to complete the ton.
The yellow was not easy, but Bingham found the angle to drop it into the green pocket.
Bingham knocked in the green, leaving him one pot away from a century.
The brown was on the side cushion close to the green pocket, meaning it was tough for a right hander.
As referee Marcel Eckardt shaped up to pick out the long rest, Bingham shifted hands and set up to play the shot left-handed.

It was a bluff, as he turned and shared a joke with the crowd.
“You watch, I’ll miss this now,” Bingham said as he put the extension on his cue and picked up the long rest.
It did not go in clean, but it dropped - prompting David Hendon on Eurosport commentary to say: “Stuart Bingham has made his move this afternoon, two excellent breaks and a century in the second of them.”
