Ranking snooker is back in China for the first time since 2019, with the Wuhan Open taking centre stage.
The breathless nature of the 2023/24 season continues, with the stars of snooker heading to China for the Wuhan Open. The event comes hot on the heels of the English Open.
Ronnie O’Sullivan has an excellent record in Asia, he won the Shanghai Masters last month, and will have a legion of fans supporting him at the Wuhan Gymnasium.
It was a day of shocks on October 10, with Neil Robertson, Mark Selby and home favourite Ding Junhui all dumped out in the second round.
Play gets underway on October 9, live on Eurosport and discovery+, with the players battling for the £140,000 first prize.
When and where is the Wuhan Open 2023?
The Wuhan Open will be held at the Wuhan Gymnasium in Hubei Province, China, from October 9 to October 15.
What is the format at the Wuhan Open 2023?
All matches up to and including the quarter-finals will be the best-of-nine frames.
The semi-finals are best-of-11 frames, with the final a two-session, best-of-17 affair.
