Canada swept to a pair of team sprint golds at the World Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen.
The women's trio Ivanie Blondin, Carolina Hiller and Brooklyn McDougall clinched victory in 1:26.29 ahead of USA, with China earning bronze ahead of Kazakhstan.
"Becoming world champion with Carolina and Ivanie is incredibly special," said McDougall. "We were so consistent all season, finishing second each World Cup.
"Upgrading to gold at the World Championships was perfect! I will never forget this feeling with these girls."
The men's team of Laurent Dubreuil, Christopher Fiola, and Antoine Gelinas-Beaulieu then followed up with a second gold of the evening, edging out hosts Netherlands in a time of 1:19.26.
The Canadian trio finished 0.41 seconds ahead of the Netherlands team that took World Cup gold, with Norway earning bronze.
"Today's performance was exceptional," said Gelinas-Beaulieu. "It's a great feeling to see your teammates give themselves body and soul, one after another, to finally give way to you.
"Being a world champion in the team sprint is even more fun because I can share it with others. It's a race we'll remember for the rest of our lives."
