Jack Burnell, fresh from his win at the World Cup in Abu Dhabi in March, leads the team, with training partners Caleb Hughes, Toby Robinson and Alice Dearing all joining him.
That quartet all train at the National Centre in Loughborough, with the University of Stirling's Danielle Huskisson making up the final five.
Huskisson will be hoping to qualify for her second World Championships, with the event acting as a qualifying race ahead of the 10km race in Budapest later this summer.
And for British Swimming's marathon swimming leader, the Lake Castaic race is perfect preparation for races to come.
"The US Nationals is a valuable race in our season as it gives us an opportunity to face up to some of the world's best athletes two months out from the World Championships," Bernie Dietzig told British Swimming.
"For us this event will act as the qualifier for Budapest with the highest male and female finisher securing their places in the 10km event at the World Championships.
"The race is situated well for our calendar and provides a great opportunity for our marathon swimmers to fine tune their race skills and accumulate more race kilometres leading into the World Championships."
