London 2012 gold medallist Jade Jones believes there is not enough depth in British taekwondo and is helping the next generation follow in her footsteps.
The 19-year-old stunned many around the world when she claimed gold in the 57kg category at the London 2012 Games.
Jones wasn't the only success story in the capital however with Lutalo Muhammad claiming 80kg bronze, the 21-year-old being discovered in a similar project three years ago.
Off the back of this success GB Taekwondo are looking to expand their national academy of 16 fighters with another ten recruits and Jones is urging youngsters to sign up to 'Battle4Brazil' or risk missing out.
"My experience at London 2012 was incredible," she said. "I’m so happy the sport is receiving more interest, but I want to see this grow and continue in the lead-up to 2016.
"I made the switch because the Olympics is just an amazing goal to try to achieve and that’s why people should sign up."
Jones' Olympic gold added to Sarah Stevenson's world title in 2011 while Bianca Walkden has enjoyed success at recent Croatian and Swiss Open Championships.
But, despite Britain's women seemingly leading the way, Stevenson is hoping the scheme will bring even more females into the fold.
"Unfortunately not too many girls came through last time and we don’t have too much depth," said Stevenson.
"I really want more girls to sign up and get involved in my sport because if we had the depth and sparring partners then I think we would get even more results."
