Andy Murray and wife Kim confirm they are expecting a baby

British number one Andy Murray and his wife Kim Sears are having a baby.

The pair got married in Dunblane in April, and after widespread media reports on Thursday Murray's agent confirmed that they are now expecting their first child.

The 28-year-old world number three apparently broke the news to his mother Judy and fellow tennis pro brother Jamie after a recent scan confirmed the good news.

Murray's agent said that they are "overjoyed" but are "a very private couple" and will not be releasing further details.

The 2013 Wimbledon champion's mother Judy recently told a magazine that she was "really looking forward to being a granny".
