Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic edge towards final showdown in Doha following quarter-final victories

The possibly of an Andy Murray v Novak Djokovic final edged ever closer in Doha after the pair won their respective quarter-finals.

World number one Murray beat Nicolas Almagro 7-6(4) 7-5 to set up a semi-final clash against Tomas Berdych.
Murray was broken in the first game of the opening set, but fought back before winning the tie-break.

Djokovic and Murray through in Doha

The duo exchanged breaks of serve early in the second set before Murray clinched the all-important break in the 11th game.
Murray then served out for the match to clinch victory in just over two hours, and will play Berdych after the Czech beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets.
Earlier in the day, Djokovic overcame veteran Radek Stepanek 6-3 6-3 to reach the semis.
The Serbian clinched the first set in just under an hour after breaking 38-year-old Stepanek for a second time in the penultimate game.
The world number two broke in the first and final game of the second set to win after one hour and 33 minutes on court.
Djokovic will face Fernando Verdasco in the semis, after the Spaniard overcame Ivo Karlovic 6-2 7-5.
