Andy Murray suffered his fourth defeat in a row of 2024 as he fell to a straight-sets loss to Tomas Machac in the first round in Marseille. The former world No. 1 suffered a 7-5 6-4 loss to the Czech after another flat performance, making it six losses in a row altogether and four since the new season began. Machac will play Lorenzo Musetti in the second round.
