Qualifier Jennifer Brady stunned 14th seed Elena Vesnina with a straight-sets win to seal her place in the fourth round of the Australian Open.
The American, who beat Britain's Heather Watson in three sets in the second round, emerged with a 7-6, 6-2 win.
It was an impressive display from the world No 115, who overwhelmed Vesnina in just 84 minutes and did not look back after holding her nerve to take the tiebreak 7-4.
It is the first time Brady has gone beyond the first round of a Grand Slam and she will now face Greece's Maria Sakkari or Croatia's Mirjana Lucic-Baroni in the round of 16.
