Mirnyi loses second final

Daniel Nestor and Elena Likhovtseva won the Australian Open mixed doubles title by beating Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka 6-4 6-4.

It was the second final defeat in two days for Mirnyi after he and Jonas Bjorkman were beaten to the men's doubles title by Mike and Bob Bryan on Saturday.
One break of serve in each set was enough for Nestor and Likhovtseva who wrapped up victory in 79 minutes punched home a volley.
"Daniel and Elena have had a very good rounded career and I'm sure this trophy will look good in their collection." Said Mirnyi.
Azarenka, 17, added: "It's been the best experience of my life, even though we lost, it was great."
