An ill Stan Wawrinka is through to the fourth round of the Australian Open after his opponent John Isner retired.

John Isner of the US talks to an official before retiring from his third round match against Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka in the men's singles match on day six of the Australian Open tennis tournament in Melbourne on January 25, 2020.

Before the game there were suggestions from Wawrinka's camp that the Swiss was struggling with flu-like symptoms, having been sick during his victory over Andreas Seppi.
However, he started well and took the opening set 6-4 without too much trouble.
That was largely down to the fact that Isner himself was clearly struggling and he had to get the trainer on in the second set.
