The women's singles final of the first Grand Slam of the season will see reigning Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina face world No. 5 Aryna Sabalenka.
Rybakina had never gone beyond the third round of the Australian Open before this year, but unlike her opponent the Kazakhstan player has tasted Grand Slam singles success before at SW19 last year.
Sabalenka may be playing in her first ever singles final at a major, but she won the doubles alongside partner Elise Mertens in 2021 and goes into this year's singles final on a ten-match winning streak. The Belarusian has not lost a match or even dropped a set in 2023.
