Eighth seed Taylor Fritz could not have been more casual about it as he hammered down four successive aces to hold serve in just 42 seconds. The feat came during his mostly one-sided match against Nikoloz Basilashvili in the first round of the Australian Open on Tuesday. The American made the aces rain down as he dominated the match, losing just the third set with a fleeting slip.

Watch as Fritz hammers four straight aces to win game in just 42 seconds

Taylor Fritz was clearly in a big rush as he completed a stunning service game in just 42 seconds at the Australian Open with four huge aces en route to a fine victory over Nikoloz Basilashvili in the first round.
The 25-year-old won through to the second round with a 6-4 6-2 4-6 7-5 win, and he certainly did so in some style as he hit a remarkable 32 aces in the match to dominate on serve.
Four of those aces came in a single game as his opponent could only watch on helplessly with Fritz completing a service hold in well under a minute - and in incredibly casual fashion too.
It took Fritz two hours and 24 minutes to complete the victory, and that was including the fact that he lost the third set in a temporary lapse before winning the fourth to close out the win.
You can watch Fritz's unbelievable service game in the video above and wonder if you would have got a racquet to any of the huge aces that flew down at poor Basilashvili.
Oh, what made it even more silly was that it was actually back-to-back service games with four aces for Fritz - only the first one took a pedestrian 50 seconds to complete.
Fritz will next take on either Australia's Alexei Popyrin, a wild card, or Chun Hsin Tseng in the second round, and it is very clear what his next opponent will be practising ahead of that match.
