The last thing you need when trying to lunge and retrieve a passing shot with a volley on the stretch is to suddenly hear a loud noise from the other side of the net, and that's why Marie Bouzkova was upset at her opponent, Bianca Andreescu. The Czech player immediately walked over to the umpire to let her frustrations be clearly known after the point at Melbourne Park.

'She's screaming!' - Bouzkova protests to umpire over Andreescu noise during point

Marie Bouzkova was not at all happy with the noise coming from the other side of the net during her Australian Open first-round defeat to Bianca Andreescu.
It was a crucial point in the match when the incident took place with Andreescu leading 6-2 4-3 and at 30-30 on Bouzkova's serve, and it ultimately led to a break point for the Canadian, who is unseeded at the tournament.
Bouzkova, who is the 25th seed, looked to be in control of the point as she approached the net following a sharp forehand down the line. But as Andreescu hit a backhand return back in court, she let out a high-pitched scream with the shot in very unexpected fashion.
The noise clearly put Bouzkova off as she failed to get her backhand volley in court, and she immediately strode over to the umpire to make her unhappiness at the situation very clear.
"During the point, she is screaming!" she said as part of her rant to the umpire.
Andreescu responded: "I'm sorry!"
The umpire did not ask for the point to be replayed and essentially sided with Andreescu, giving her the benefit of the doubt over the noise.
It was down to the official to decide if it was intentional and unsportsmanlike, or whether it was simply a natural reaction to playing the shot.
Andreescu came out of the contest the victor with a straight sets, 6-2 6-4, victory to reach the second round.
