James Ward destroyed as Serbia level GB Davis Cup tie
Updated 16/07/2016 at 17:22 GMT
Dusan Lajovic demolished James Ward 6-1 6-3 6-2 as Serbia levelled their Davis Cup tie with Great Britain at 1-1.
Ward was outclassed by the world number 81, who took less than two hours to win the match that had been held over from Friday due to bad weather.
A host of Ward errors - 73 in total - and some superb tennis by Lajovic resulted in a mismatch with the Serbian winning the service breaks battle 6-0.
The tie is evenly poised ahead of Saturday afternoon's doubles - Jamie Ward and Dominic Inglot take on Janko Tipsarevic and Nenad Zimonjic.
Kyle Edmund, who beat Tipsarevic in straight sets on Friday, will face Lajovic in a potentially decisive first singles match on Sunday.
Andy Murray is in Belgrade to support the team but is not playing due to a hectic schedule encompassing Wimbledon, the Olympics and US Open within two months.
