Andy Murray could have been forgiven for forgetting how they do things at Roland-Garros after making just one French Open appearance in the last six years. The Scot felt there should have been a intervention from technology in the second set, only to realise his error. Murray fell to defeat against Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka in what could potentially be his final appearance at the tournament.

'He has just learned something there' - Murray left perplexed at let point

There was a moment of confusion at Roland-Garros on Sunday as Andy Murray found out that every day is a school day during his French Open defeat against Stan Wawrinka.
Murray fell to a 6-4 6-4 6-2 first-round defeat against the three-time Grand Slam winner, but he did learn something new about the French Open.
The Scot was left perplexed at 4-2 down in the second set after the umpire called "let" without being notified by a net cord device.
The former world No. 1 made his Roland-Garros debut all the way back in 2006 but has only competed at the tournament once since 2018.
So Murray could have been forgiven for forgetting that the French Open does not actually use the technology.
At first, Murray seemed frustrated with the umpire.
However, the two-time Olympic gold medallist was quick to recognise his mistake, letting out an audible laugh after the umpire pointed out there were no machines used in the entire tournament.
Even the commentators joined in.
"Murray has just learned something there," said Tim Henman.
"Normally there is a net court device that beeps when the ball touches the top of the net.
Simon Reed added: "I did too, no machine!"
