Marion Bartoli announces plan to come out of retirement

Tennis player Marion Bartoli has announced she will be coming out of retirement to compete in professional tennis once again.

Four and a half years after her surprise retirement, the former French number one has decided to return to competition.
She hopes to make her return at the Miami Open in March 2018.
Speaking to Eurosport, she said, "I tried to keep this secret for as long as possible, but it has become inevitable that I must tell the whole world."
Bartoli announced her retirement, shocking the world of tennis, in the summer of 2013, aged just 28.
She said she has three objectives in her second spell, "To win the Fed Cup, the play at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, and win one of the majors of the Grand Slam."
