Soderling has not dropped a set on his way to his second ATP final and overpowered seventh-seeded Clement in 71 minutes.
Soderling, ranked 57th in the world, lost his opening service game but hit back to win four games in a row.
The second set was a mere formality as Clement struggled to counter his young opponent's power.
"Except for the beginning, I was feeling good on court and managed to read his game well," said Soderling.
Clement responded: "I needed a great performance to make it to the final. I failed."
In the other semi-final Hrbaty, who has already won in Adelaide and Auckland this year, beat another Swede, Jonas Bjorkman, 7-6 6-3.
Both players held their serve during the first set, Hrbaty winning the tie-break 11-9 before cruising through the second set.
"I have the feeling I'm more relaxed, I feel less pressure," said Hrbaty. "I don't give any easy points to my opponent."
