When will Novak Djokovic be playing next after the US Open? What is his schedule? Will he be playing Davis Cup and Laver Cup? Will he play the Shanghai Masters? Djokovic beat Daniil Medvedev to claim his 24th Grand Slam title at the US Open. He won't have much chance to reflect on the victory as he will soon be in action again, and the end of the tennis season is on the horizon.

Novak Djokovic is flying high again after beating Daniil Medvedev to win the US Open for a fourth time and lift his 24th Grand Slam title.
But there is little time for rest.
Djokovic will quickly jet out of New York as he is set to play the Davis Cup for Serbia this week. A return to China might then be on the cards before the final stage of the season, which includes the Nitto ATP Finals and Davis Cup finals, if Serbia qualify.
We run through all you need to know about where and when Djokovic is playing after the US Open.
Davis Cup (September 12-17)
After New York it’s straight to Valencia for Djokovic to represent Serbia.
Serbia open on Tuesday against South Korea before facing Spain on Friday and then Czech Republic on Saturday.
Djokovic is set to miss the opening tie against South Korea so world No. 47 Miomir Kecmanovic will lead Serbia for that contest.
“We can’t wait to have him for Friday,” said Kecmanovic.
“It definitely takes a little bit of the pressure off since he always carried the team so well, but our focus is to get through Tuesday, hopefully get the win and then start a little bit more relaxed on Friday.”
The top two teams from each group qualify for the finals, and by playing Djokovic ensures he is eligible to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Carlos Alcaraz is not playing for Spain after pulling out following his US Open semi-final defeat to Daniil Medvedev.
Shanghai Masters (October 4-15)?
Djokovic is not signed up to play this year’s Laver Cup, which will be held in Vancouver from September 22-24. He is also one of the few top players currently not entered into the ATP 500 China Open, which starts on September 28.
He is on the entry list for the Shanghai Masters, but coach Goran Ivanisevic suggested after the US Open that he won't play the tournament.
"I know he is going to the Davis Cup, after that, he should rest well and regroup," Ivanisevic told Sportklub.
"I don't think he will go to China, but he will have to play at least one more event before Turin and the finals. Maybe Paris."
China is back on the ATP calendar for the first time since 2019 when Daniil Medvedev lifted the trophy.
Djokovic has won four times in Shanghai and with plenty of ranking points on offer there would be an opportunity to ensure he stays ahead of Alcaraz at the top of the rankings.
Djokovic holds the record for most Masters titles won with 39, three ahead of second-placed Rafael Nadal.
Paris Masters (October 30-November 5)
Following Shanghai there are ATP 500 events in Tokyo, Vienna and Basel.
Djokovic is not currently entered into those events but the Paris Masters is likely to be on his schedule.
It is the last Masters event of the season and Djokovic made the final in 2022, losing to Holger Rune.
Nitto ATP Finals (November 12-19)
The season-ending Nitto ATP Finals will again be held in Turin, Italy.
The year-end No. 1 ranking could be up for grabs, with Djokovic the defending champion at the event and Alcaraz having maximum points to gain as he missed the tournament last year.

Djokovic is currently level with Roger Federer on six ATP Finals titles.
He has finished as year-end No. 1 a record seven times, one ahead of Pete Sampras and two ahead of Federer, Rafael Nadal and Jimmy Connors.
Davis Cup finals (November 21-26)
After Turin it will be onto Malaga for Djokovic, as long as Serbia qualify for the Davis Cup finals.
The format will see the eight qualified teams from the group stages compete in the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and then the final.
Djokovic won the Davis Cup with Serbia in 2010.
Canada won the Davis Cup for the first time in their history in 2022.
