Prodigy slams 'sluts'

"Some of the tennis girls, they’re sluts," she said in the July issue of Vogue magazine. "They go with every guy and make such a bad name for themselves - and you don’t want to be known for stuff like that.

"You want to be more discreet."

The 16-year-old, who won the 2008 junior Wimbledon title and trains at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in Paris, said that she prefers quiet nights in to wild parties.

"We’re tucked in by 10pm," she claimed. "My coach knows I’m sensible. I don’t like the taste of alcohol and I hate smoke. Some go to nightclubs, but I’m not interested.

"Yes there are moments when you speak to your old friends, and they’re all going out to parties every weekend, and I’m stuck in Paris boring my brains out."

Australian-born Robson did, however, admit to one "guilty" tennis crush - recently-retired Russian lothario Marat Safin.

"He’s phenomenally good-looking. But he’s old - he’s 30."
