Olympics Rio 2016: Konta and Murray to compete in mixed doubles

GB's Johanna Konta and Jamie Murray will have another shot at Olympic glory after entering into the mixed doubles competition, it was confirmed on Tuesday.

Konta is also through to the quarterfinals in the women's single event, after beating world no.10 Svetlana Kuznetsova in a three hour thriller on Tuesday.
Konta and Murray will face the United States' Jack Sock and Bethanie Mattek-Sands.
Andy Murray will not compete with Heather Watson unless there are withdrawals of other teams from the event; they are currently second alternates.
Elsewhere, Rafa Nadal and Garbine Muguruza were confirmed as Spain's entry into the event, as were Venus Williams and Rajeev Ram for the United States, and Caroline Garcia will partner Nicolas Mahut for France.
