British pair Andy Murray and Dan Evans will become the first non-French wildcards in the men's doubles event at the French Open for more than 20 years. In a move that has the Olympic Games - also at Roland-Garros - in mind, Murray and Evans will join forces for the first time since the Citi Open last year, where the duo won one match before a quarter-final defeat.

'I probably don't have too long left' - Murray drops retirement hint after Dubai win

Andy Murray and Dan Evans have been given a wildcard entry into the men’s doubles at this year’s French Open.
The British pair are the only non-French wildcard duo after 14 wildcards were handed out, and they become the first non-French pair to receive one in over 20 years.
Murray and Evans joining forces could spell a doubles partnership looking ahead to this summer’s Olympic Games.
The tennis event at Paris 2024 will see the players return to Roland-Garros after playing on the grass at Wimbledon, and Murray has hinted that he will not play much more tennis after the Games.
Murray, who had looked like he might miss out on the French Open after tearing his ankle ligaments in Miami, returned to the European dirt in Bordeaux and Geneva, but lost in the second round of the challenger in Bordeaux - where he was the seventh seed - and in the opening round in Switzerland to Yannick Hanfmann, who earned himself a match with surprise wildcard entry Novak Djokovic as his reward.
Murray had previously revealed that he would not play at the Olympics unless he believed he could win a medal, with the Scot having won two golds in his career - his first at London 2012, beating Roger Federer in the final at Wimbledon, and in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, beating Juan Martin del Potro.
Murray and Evans have played doubles together before, at the Citi Open in 2023, winning their opening match before being knocked out in the last eight.
