Rafael Nadal continued his winning streak on clay with a 6-2 6-2 win over Gael Monfils on Saturday to reach the final in Rome. Nadal's victory - his 52nd - means he can equal Guillermo Vilas' record of 53 if he defeats Roger Federer in Sunday's final.

The Spaniard saved break points in his opening service game, before going on to break Monfils and move into a 3-0 lead.
The Frenchman responded by winning the fourth game, but Nadal held serve to clinch the first set 6-2.
Second-seeded Nadal dropped his opening service game of the second set, but hit back immediately to level the scores.
And the decisive break came in the sixth game, the Spaniard putting away a whipped forehand winner to break Monfils before closing out the match to seal a mouth-watering final clash with Roger Federer.
