Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alexander Zverev in straight sets to reach the US.Open semi-finals. Alcaraz is trying to become the first man to win consecutive titles at Flushing Meadows since Roger Federer claimed five in a row from 2004 to 2008. Madison Keys, the runner-up at the US Open in 2017, beat Marketa Vondrousova 6-1 6-4 to reach the semi-final against Aryna Sabalenka.
