She beat Romanian Liana Ungur 6-4 6-4 in the previous round.

In the men's doubles, David Rice and Sean Thornley went through 7-6 4-6 6-3 against Alessandro Motti and Stephane Robert.

In the women's doubles, Katie O'Brien and Anna Fitzpatrick lost 6-3 6-3 to Russians Nina Bratchikova and Valeria Savinykh while fellow Britons Samantha Murray and Jade Windley were also dumped out, 6-1 2-6 7-5 against Noppawan Lertcheewakarn and Jessica Moore.
