Harriet Dart and new British No. 1 Katie Boulter set up all-British quarter-final at Nottingham Open

Katie Boulter emerged victorious against Daria Snigur with a 7-5 6-3 triumph, while qualifier Harriet Dart dominated Anhelina Kalinina in a 6-0 7-5 victory, leading to an exciting all-British quarter-final matchup at the Nottingham Open. Boulter became the new British No. 1 after reaching the semi-finals of the Surbiton Trophy. Jodie Burrage also won against third seed Magda Linette.

Katie Boulter beat Daria Snigur 7-5 6-3, while qualifier Harriet Dart beat Anhelina Kalinina 6-0 7-5 to set up an all-British quarter-final at the Nottingham Open.
Dart has faced off against Boulter four times before, with the latter winning three of those matches, but the two have never gone head-to-head on grass.
Despite missing several opportunities to break Snigur's serve in the opening set, Boulter managed to level the score at 4-4 before ultimately claiming the set after an hour and 15 minutes.
Snigur appeared to be struggling with a knee issue throughout the match against Boulter, and was forced her to take a medical timeout midway through the set.
Taking advantage of her opponent's discomfort, Boulter won three consecutive games to confidently close out the match, advancing to the quarter-finals on the Nottingham grass for the third time.
"It was an absolute battle, I'm really proud of myself," said Boulter after her victory. "I put my heart on the line and played as well as I could. A couple of those games were ridiculous. It was so tough."
Earlier in the week, Boulter posted on her social media reacting to becoming the new British No. 1 for the first time in her career after reaching the semi-finals of the Surbiton Trophy.
She replaced Emma Raducanu, who has struggled for form and been sidelined due to injuries.
Boulter said: "Been mulling over whether I was going to post this today. It's not my highest ranking nor my best career moment however someone reminded me today that this little girl would be proud if I told her she would be British No. 1 one day.
"Whether it be for one minute, one day or one year it's not my biggest goal but shows I'm heading in the right direction. Now I've got work to do as my main goals are pending."
Dart easily breezed past Ukrainian No. 5 seed Kalinina, dropping a mere seven points in the first set to cruise and winning every single game.
Kalinina came back much stronger in the second set, but Dart withstood the challenge to take the victory.
Jodie Burrage also won against third seed Magda Linette.
World No. 131 Burrage produced an impressive display as she won 7-5 6-3 against Linette to reach her first WTA quarter-final.
