Second seed Anastasia Myskina brushed aside Austria's Patricia Wartusch on Saturday to set up an all-Russian final in the Qatar Open.
RESULTS: all the info from Doha
Myskina, who reached the quarter-finals at the Australian Open last month, beat Wartusch 6-3 6-3 and meets fifth seed Elena Likhovtseva in Sunday's final.
Fifth seed Likhovtseva defeated error-prone compatriot Lina Krasnoroutskaya 6-4 6-3 in an earlier semi-final.
Myskina, who has two WTA Tour titles to her credit -- Bahia in 2002 and Palermo in 1999 -- was seldom stretched by Wartusch.
The Russian produced a solid display that justified her career-high world ranking of 11. She moved well around the court and often used her double-handed backhand to bully her opponent.
Wild card Krasnoroutskaya, conqueror of top seed Monica Seles and seventh seed Conchita Martinez en route to the semi-finals, committed numerous errors and her form deserted her when in mattered most.
Likhovtseva, who had lost her only previous meeting with Krasnoroutskaya at Indian Wells in 2001, relied on her experience to gain revenge.
She broke her opponent in the first game, only to be broken back in the fourth and then again in the sixth.
But the 27-year-old Likhovtseva steadied her game, broke back twice and held her serve in the 10th to take the first set.
Likhovtseva hurried to a commanding 4-1 lead in the second set but Krasnoroutskaya played her best tennis of the day to break her rival and make it 2-4.
Likhovtseva saved four breakpoints before Krasnoroutskaya broke her with a superb shot down the line. But that was all Krasnoroutskaya could do as Likhovtseva broke back in the seventh and went on to win.
"I'm happy with my form and really looking forward to tomorrow's final," Likhovtseva said.
Krasnoroutskaya said: "Nothing went right for me. I was feeling very tired too."
