And at Whiteface Mountain, Jan Zabystran won his second gold of the games by winning the men's giant slalom, the Czech adding to the gold he won in the men's super-G.
The action at Gore Mountain saw Japan's Rai Kasamura and Yuna Koga add to their country's medal haul by sealing gold medals in the men's and women's freeski slopestyle contests. It was also an excellent day for Kazakhstan as Bekentay Turlubekov shot clean on both trips to the range on route to gold in the men's biathlon 10km sprint, with compatriot Alexandr Mukhin winning bronze.
And Poland's Anna Nedza-Kubiniec took gold in the women's biathlon 7.5km sprint after recording a time of 24:17.1.
Medals were also decided in the women's snowboard slopestyle, with Livia Tanno from Switzerland winning gold, and Poland took gold in the mixed team ski jumping final - Adam Nizkin sealing victory with a massive jump worth 111.2 points.
The action also continued at the Olympic Speed Skating Oval, where conditions were challenging due to high wind and snow.
Poland took the women's team pursuit speed skating before Japan won yet another gold with victory in the men's team pursuit, recording a new track record in the process.
Thursday is set to be yet another action-packed day at Lake Placid with medals up for grabs in alpine skiing, biathlon, Nordic combined, and speed skating.
