Serbia beat their former compatriots from Montenegro 6-4 to take the men's Olympic water polo bronze medal.
The Serbs dominated the match with fierce attacking and a solid defence to win the first Olympic showdown between the two countries, who won silver as a joint team at the 2004 Athens Games.
Serbia surged to a 4-1 lead at the halfway stage and stretched the advantage to 6-1 before Montenegro pulled back three late goals.
Montenegro, which separated from Serbia in 2006, were yet to get on the medals table before the final day of the Games.
Hungary and the United States will contest the water polo gold medal match.
