In an epic race that ebbed and flowed, Toyota’s #7 held the lead for 14 hours before falling away deep into the French night.
Audi’s #1 and #2 took advantage of Toyota’s plight to lead the race, though problems with #1’s turbo with four hours to go allowed for Porsche #20 to take control of the lead.
With 120 minutes remaining in the marathon race, ex-Formula 1 driver Webber readied himself to take his team’s final stint, and although the pit stop saw them relinquish the lead, it seemed that the race would come down to the wire.

A sad ending for Webber and his team meant yet another win for Audi, who claimed a one-two – car #2 securing first spot - with Toyota’s #8 completing the podium.
