FIA ERC Junior champion Marijan Griebel was on impressive form when he took part on Rebenland Rallye in Austria last weekend.
Co-driven by Stefan Kopczyk in a ŠKODA Fabia R5, Griebel had climbed to third overall when a broken turbo put him out with three stages remaining.
The event was won by Griebel’s BRR team boss and some-time ERC competitor, Raimund Baumschlager.
Griebel’s outing on the Rebenland Rallye marked his second competitive outing in an R5 car following his second-place finish on the ERC-counting CNP Asfalistiki Cyprus Rally last October. His ERC Junior Under 28 Championship campaign begins on the Azores Airlines Rallye next week when he will once again be in action in his Pirelli-shod, BRR-run ŠKODA.
