Nitišs keen on more ERC action

The FIA World Rallycross Championship star from Latvia impressed by winning the ERC2 division on his third ever rally in Liepāja last weekend.

“It’s a brilliant feeling,” said Nitišs afterwards. “I didn’t expect to win ERC2 before I come to the rally but it feels great. We had some moments but nothing big and it means we’re close to the limit but not over it and that’s the main thing.

“For sure I am [a better rally driver now], at least I can understand what the co-driver is talking [about] and I can read the road much better and feel more comfortable and trust him more than ever before I would say.

“The practice what you can do because the mileage in two or three days is quite big and that’s the big difference from rallycross. But still rallycross is my main sport and I enjoyed the practice for that. But probably you can see me more times in ERC.”
