Three-time European champion Luca Rossetti ended his first full day back in the series with two fastest times in ERC3 in the Toyota GT86 CS-R3.
He spent the morning getting to grips with the rear-wheel drive machine in anger for the first time, but was pleased with the speed he was able to find in the afternoon versus the ERC Junior contenders.
He said: "I’m really happy about today. I just need to do kilometres in the car.On the first loop my pace notes were okay and I know the roads, but on some roads it's difficult to find the right braking points and the right speeds to go into the corners. On the second loop it was much better. Two very good times means the car is very good. I expect more of the same tomorrow: in the first loop we will avoid mistakes and in the second loop push as much as possible."
Rossetti sits third in the ERC3 category, while Turkey’s Murat Bostanci is fifth, narrowly in front of both local driver Jiří Navrátil and Hungary’s László Német.
