When it comes to the Olympics, "it's game seven that you play each time," veteran Canada goalie Martin Brodeur tells Eurosport. The New Jersey Devils netminder, whose father also wore his country's jersey 50 years ago at the Cortina Games, gives a special

Q: Two games, two wins, a good start for Canada...
Yes, it's OK, we scored a lot of goals so it's good for our confidence. We played against very good teams and we managed to win. It's sure the hardest games are to come but we're really getting to know each other, to form a team little by little. It's not easy to leave the National Hockey League, start again with 23 new players and quickly form a team. But it's starting to gel.

Q: It's not too difficult to get in sync with each other?
The guys have different backgrounds, some of them play 25 minutes a game and now, you may only play for 15, 20 minutes. Every one of us has to accept the role that the Team Canada gives. And everyone has to adapt quicker than when you are used to playing with the same players all the time. This is a bit difficult and that's why the players who were selected are able to adapt.
Q: It's a wide open tournament...
Yes, it's hard. It's always a one-off, it's not like the play-offs of the NHL or the other big leagues. You don't play the best-of-seven games, it's game seven that you play each time, three qualifications to win the gold medal. As the tournament goes on, the more the pressure will increase and the more difficult it will be to perform. We will really see which team is able to perform under pressure.
Q: Your toughest opponents?
It's hard to say. We thought Sweden would be a great team here, I think they still are but they had a bad moment when they were beaten by the Russians 5-0, the latter playing amazing. When you look at the Czechs, who are among the best teams, they lost against the Swiss. The Finnish team seem to be playing well currently. So, it's hard to know which team is the toughest opponent. I think we will only go there and not think too much about the other teams. We just want our game to be perfect at the right moment.
Q: The Gretzky case is over?
I think that, since the beginning, all of us have enjoyed a great Olympic experience and we did not want to let this Gretzky and Rick Tocchet affair in the United States interfere with this experience. So, we're happy everybody's clear so we won't have to answer all these questions anymore.
