Q: A second gold medal for you, it's just a perfect day?
"It's a great day. I would say so. It has been a long time coming and being part of this team... we played great since the beginning of the tournament and it's just a great atmosphere on the team. We really wanted to win this one. It has been a long time since we were in a final and we got knocked down in two quarter-finals. So, it's been great to be part of the winning team again."
Q: The second period was the turning point?
"I think so they took a few penalties and I thought we played better than them. They started to play pretty well and they were maybe better than us in the first ten minutes. But after that we took over and maybe they had a tougher quarter and semi-final. As long as we got the puck deep and worked them low, they were going to take penalties and we scored a couple."

Q: The last two minutes were nerve-breaking?
"Definitely. Sitting on the bench, I was so nervous. Henrik made a couple of great saves in the end. He is really... so how you win games, that's how you win championships: having a great goal tending. He was outstanding the whole tournament."
Q: What does it mean for you?
"It is a great day and I'm so happy for my team, for Sundin and Alfredsson , and these guys... we've been part of this Swedish team for a long time. Me and Sundin played together in 92 the first time. It's along time ago and finally we get to win something huge and winning the Olympic Games and being part of this team it's unbelievable."
