Loch continues dominance in Innsbruck Igls

Double Olympic champion Felix Loch claimed victory for the fifth consecutive time in Innsbruck-Igls in the first luge World Cup event of the season.

The 25-year-old finished on a time of 33.298 which was enough to beat European Championship bronze medallist Dominik Fischnaller of Italy who was 0.041 behind and fellow German Andi Langenhan who trailed by 0.131.
There was plenty more to shout about for the German's as Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken came out on top in the doubles and Natalie Geisenberger won the women's sprint.
Eggert and Benecken finished in 31.396 which was enough to hold off the challenge of Austrian duo Peter Penz and Georg Fischler and Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt of Germany.
