Luke Mossey beats Shane Byrne to Superpole at Brands Hatch

Luke Mossey claimed top spot in qualifying in the British Superbikes race weekend at Brands Hatch.

Mossey claimed Superpole from Shane Byrne by just over a tenth of a second with his lap of one minute 25.383.

Tommy Bridewell was third fastest.

Mossey was surprised to have claimed pole given how his weekend was going.

"I wasn't happy yesterday and we couldn't get the right setting. It was off and that was disappointing so felt on back foot," said Mossey in his press conference.

"We seem to have cured the problem now!"

Byrne lamented the errors which cost him Superpole.

"I wanted to push the boat out and produce something special but I made a few mistakes," he said.
