Nine athletes trained by Justin Gatlin’s coach Trevor Graham will not be invited to the Berlin Golden League meeting on September 3rd. The list includes Gatlin, Marion Jones, Shaun Crawford and Dwight Thomas.
The organisers of the event also urged other European meets to follow suit and exclude the athletes.
"The nine athletes coached by Trevor Graham will not be invited," managing director Gerhard Janetzky said on Thursday.
He continued that Marion Jones was "not being considered".
"We cancelled negotiations with Marion Jones, who would have liked to have competed in Berlin," he added.
Olympic 200m champion Shaun Crawford, last year-s Berlin 100m winner Dwight Thomas and Gatlin himself are the other big names affected.
The Berlin event is the final leg of a six-meet circuit of European competitions which feature a jackpot of one million dollars.
Joint world record holder Gatlin faces a life ban if found guilty of having abnormal levels of testosterone in his system.
