Paula Radcliffe has said she will race at next summer's World Championships in Japan, just months after giving birth. The 32-year-old is set to become a mother in January but insisted that she will have no problem getting into shape for a tilt at either
"I know next year I will be straight back into it," she said. "My focus is still the World Championships."
"January to August should be long enough to recover. I don't know the event I will compete in yet - whether it will be the 10,000 metres or the marathon."
Radcliffe won her first World Championship gold in 2005 when he streaked home first in the marathon.
The victory partly atoned for her disappointment at the Athens Olympics in 2004, when she led the race but wilted under the intense heat.
Despite next year's world championships being possibly her last, the Briton insisted the atmosphere would be relaxed, with her family joining her in Japan.
"I will take the baby with me. My mum has already booked the time off and will come with us to help out. I'm in for a family jamboree."
